By far the best house we have ever rented on Norris Lake. We had 13 people and plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. The pictures do not do the house justice. Located in a cove that is very quiet but not far to fast water. Nice drive to get to the house. The private ramp is very handy and no steps! We've already reserved the house for 2023. The only thing the owner could do to improve the property is to install a slide on the dock.

The house was in a beautiful location. Very clean. We had a wonderful time. The owner was very quick to respond to all my questions. Highly recommend this rental to anyone.

J&J's Getaway is an absolutely amazing property on the stunning Norris Lake. We stayed along with two other families and could not have been happier with the accommodations. The house is huge and there was plenty of room for all 13 guests. The two decks, large yard, and several floors provided ample space and privacy for each family. The amenities were all top-notch and it was obvious no expense was spared when constructing and equipping the house. Now on to the lake...wow. Talk about beautiful!! The water was warm and a beautiful shade of blue-green....not to mention, I don't think we saw one lake weed or mosquito the entire week! The marinas are a blast and the J&J Getaway dock is literally the best one we saw on the whole lake while exploring on our rented pontoon. Do not hesitate to book this property. I know we'll be back!

John Bertke,  I have to tell you we had the most amazing time!  Everything was perfect! We’ve done a lot of vacation rentals in the past, but nothing compares to the experience we got with this property. Every detail was well thought out from the directions coming down, the ice machine, the firewood, the double decker dock w/ slide, the amenities, etc.. VERY IMPRESSIVE! Beautiful home w/ beautiful views from every room of the house.  We will definitely be coming back! 5 STARS across the board!

We really like the Flat Hollow area & enjoy staying at Norris Lake Villas properties. Shady Grove is a great property that we stayed at in May 2020. The dock is nice with 1 covered slip & two other boats tied off to either side not under cover. The walk/steps to the dock are on the lower count side as far as many other houses we've stayed at over the years. The view from the deck is enjoyable. The house has tons of sleeping space & rooms to spread out in. Washer, dryer, kitchen appliances all great. The hottub & firepit are great at the end of a long lake day. This house also has ample parking for trucks & trailers. One thing to note is the first floor area is actually hardwood not carpet (as pictured). I was happy to see the hardwood when we arrived. The front of the house is pretty close to the road which is only a concern with loading/unloading with boats attached, kids, or dogs running around. Overall a great place to stay & enjoy Norris.

My family and friends stayed at the Jolly Mon the week of Aug 1-8. John was great with his communication and answered every question I had in a timely fashion. His boat rental suggestions were spot on. The location of the house is great with 4 parking spaces provided in the front. The house is well built. Water pressure is great, HVAC perfect, washer and dryer work, both refrigerators work, all the silverware,plates, pots and pan were ample. Hot Tub is great Grill was nice but could use some new grate plates. Carpet in the main area was worn and could use an upgrade, but it was a non issue. Great views from both decks, especially the lower deck. The dock is great with a covered and non covered slip as well as a jet ski dock. Just a warning for those of you with very small children or aging adults, the stairs are steep. They are very well structurally built but the first set of stairs are steep. The fire pit deck is nice and there is a path for walking up and down the area or for golf cart use. The area is just beautiful, lots of nice families close by to get to know. We enjoyed our stay here and I would definitely recommend this house and the owner John. I would stay here again and feel like this house was money well spent. Overall a great experience and a grand vaction.
